ISANSYS WINS BEST PUBLIC-PRIVATE COLLABORATION AT THIS YEAR’S OBN AWARDS

Isansys Lifecare is celebrating after winning the Best Public-Private Collaboration Award, sponsored by the Oxford AHSN, for its innovative vital signs monitoring platform which is designed to improve patient safety and healthcare delivery in general

Abingdon, United Kingdom, October 5, 2015 – Isansys Lifecare Ltd, the provider of complete real-time physiological patient data services and systems, has been named as the winner of the prestigious Best Public-Private Collaboration at this year’s OBN awards.

Isansys triumphed over other very strong contenders at the award ceremony held on October 1st at Oxford’s Ashmolean Museum, to be named the winner by an independent panel of judges. The award, which was sponsored and presented by the Oxford Academic Health Science Network, was given in recognition of Isansys’ work with Birmingham Children’s Hospital to improve patient safety.

The Isansys Patient Status Engine, a wireless patient monitoring platform which captures and analyses real-time data was released earlier this year. It takes patient monitoring into the 21st century as it is currently addressing the requirements for improved and more efficient patient monitoring, against a backdrop of an increasing demand for healthcare services and improved patient safety.

Keith Errey, CEO of Isansys Lifecare, which is based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, said: “We are delighted to have won this award in recognition of the ground-breaking and innovative projects we are working on. But this award belongs as much to the clinicians and nurses for the magnificent work they are doing in adopting new wireless and digital technologies to help them make a significant difference to the lives of their patients and their families as well.”

Rebecca Weir, cofounder and Business Development Director of Isansys, said: “It’s a pleasure to work with the Oxford AHSN which is fortunate to have a wealth of academic and industry capability that we at Isansys have been able to draw upon. This has not only accelerated our own development, but also the fact  that the Oxford AHSN has incorporated Isansys into the collective developments of the Oxfordshire region, through events, innovation networks and collaboration platforms, means we have received greater exposure as a company. Our technology is now seen as a game changer in the way patients are cared for.”
